ASA Mining is a Lesotho owned engineering company that was established in 2015. It is a medium to heavy engineering business which manufacturers and repairs equipment primarily for the mining and Petrochemical Industries but also caters for general engineering.
ASA Mining also does Drilling and Blasting for various mining and construction companies in Lesotho.

Lesotho to extend Gem Diamonds’ mine lease to 2034

The government of Lesotho has indicated its intention to renew London-listed Gem Diamond’s lease for the Letšeng mine until 2034. The current lease expires in 2024. The mining lease may be further extended if necessary in relation to any underground development of the mine thereafter, the company said in a statement.

Importers, wishing to pay import Value Added Tax (VAT) by surrendering valid tax invoices at the ports of entry are advised that with effect from 1st February 2018, tax invoices in excess of M10,000 should have proof of payment attached to the invoice. Without proof of payment such tax invoices will not be considered.
